Meditations learned riding my K2 'Attack' Bike

What I learned this morning while riding my Mountain Bike…

1. Joggers grunt and grimace – men in tights on bikes, sweat and smile = addition/multiplication – use what easily works for you, that creates forwardness. Use who you are – not someone else’s pattern, you can learn from them, but be who you were made to be – it’s easier, cause it will come naturally (supernaturally!)

2. Trust your tires – where they go, you will go = always look for the points of traction. And, when found – throw yourself that direction. If you are hesitant when riding, you’ll lose traction – miss the turn, slide down the incline sideways and land in a creekbed full of boulders (personal experience on that one!)

3. Fuel up – hydration/nutrition will keep you going/healthy/strong = we need large intake of Word/HS to run strong…and keep it cranking.
Then – interaction/impartation = unless you’re burning the fuel – you’ll get bloated/heavy/slow!

4. Loose rocks… caution, they don’t look that dangerous, but be very careful = “We just love your church… have you ever thought of…” (loose rocks need cement to be effective) Loose rocks can be useful building materials if they will accept the adhesive of community – if they don’t, they will just be loose rocks, and no good for building anything of substance.

5. Helmet – always wear a helmet = guard your mind/heart/measure your words – don’t let the sweat become drops of bitterness/cynicism.
This is the greatest area of battle for most leaders… don’t let others create your world, they’ll always make it smaller!

6. Be alert, head up, look ahead, not just at the ground in front of you – anticipate/be ready to act/vigilant – no relaxing when moving…
We are at any moment in time, the target of evil – the thief/deceiver/enemy of our souls… watch, look, right now…!

7. Start – make decision - start - greatest energy needed is to take inertia to movement – but, once you’re moving - enjoy the ride. Easier to obtain than maintain – so, once you’ve made the decision to start, keep it in gear…

8. What have you learned recently in times of meditation?!
What would you add to the list of
"What I learned this morning while riding my mtn. bike?"!
